Episode 58: Strangers in our Midst

by Heather  - October 30, 2016

This episode looks at what happened when a huge group of refugees fled a religiously motivated war, and flooded into England… in the 16th century. England then, as now, struggled with how to integrate them, and there was an element of fear, and backlash against the refugees, just as there is today.
